Taking the show on the road in 2011, Outlets of Colorado and Fox 21 are also incenting Coloradans to get out to visit premier Pikes Peak region attractions through the Fashion Ambush promotion. The venerable Cave of the Winds, celebrating 130 years in 2011, is the next destination for the event. One lucky visitor to this attraction on Saturday, April 30 will be ambushed, unveiled, and awarded a $1,000 prize package.

Hosts Peggy Ziglin and Craig Coffey will marshal this fourth Fashion Ambush event of the year. Known as the Trend Team, Ziglin and Coffey will scout for a person deserving of an updated look, and will award a head to toe makeover to this unsuspecting visitor to the Cave of the Winds. The process will be chronicled on film with before and after shots, and narrated by Ziglin and Coffey in the comical style viewers have come to know and expect. The video segment from the Cave of the Winds Fashion Ambush will be broadcast on Fox 21 for several weeks. To date in 2011, four individuals have received Fashion Ambush makeovers at three southern Colorado tourist attractions; every "ambushee" has been delighted with her beauty results and the generous prize package awarded.

Ambush subjects receive a wardrobe from the Outlets' designer retail stores like Ann Taylor, Lane Bryant, and CAbi, a complete expert haircut and style from Styles Salon, professional makeup and fashion advice. Sisters Tanya and Valerie, visiting Colorado from Texas, were ambushed and unveiled earlier this month at Royal Gorge Bridge and Park. The duo were awarded wardrobes from Off 5th, the Saks Fifth Avenue outlet at the Outlets at Castle Rock, in addition to makeup and new hairstyles.

"We can't wait to see who will be next," says Ziglin.
