Outlets of Colorado Host Fourth Annual Shopping Extravaganza at Outlets at Loveland

Colorado shoppers: the much anticipated Outlets at Loveland Shopping Extravaganza takes place Saturday, October 23. This charity event will feature savings at favorite retailers, more than $10,000 in giveaways, lunch, a Colorado wine sampling, a fashion show, and chances to win a $150 makeover from The Fashion Group International and the Outlets' retailers.

The Fashion Group International will add an entertaining and festive component to the Shopping Extravaganza this year for the first time

The second of three fall Shopping Extravaganzas, hosted annually by the Outlets of Colorado, will take place at the northern Colorado center, the Outlets at Loveland, on Saturday, October 23, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Shoppers already benefit from 30 to 70 percent off name brand retail every day at the Outlets, but at the Shopping Extravaganza there are additional exclusive shopping discounts, a catered lunch, dessert, wine tasting, goodie bag, a fashion show and entertainment. New this year at Loveland, The Fashion Group International will be on hand, providing six winners with hair, makeup and style makeovers given away by the Outlets.

All 39 retailers at Outlets of Loveland have contributed gift certificates for giveaways to shoppers which take place throughout the day-- for a total of $10,000 in retail value. In addition, merchandise and trips from the Outlets' partners will also be raffled. Tickets for the full day of festivity are $20 each, and proceeds from ticket sales benefit ten local and regional charities.

"The Fashion Group International will add an entertaining and festive component to the Shopping Extravaganza this year for the first time," says Peggy Ziglin, Colorado Regional Public Relations/Tourism Director for the Outlets of Colorado. "We'll be drawing six lucky winners for Magic Makeovers at 10:00 AM on Saturday, and they'll be 'revealed' at 2:00 PM." The Fashion Group International will be represented by a team of eight style, makeup and hair experts who will be on hand all day, sharing their expertise with the six individuals who win a makeover.

Companion to the makeover unveilings will be a fashion show, with amateur models from the region who won the Outlets' sponsored Strike A Pose model search contest in spring 2010. Cheyenne Torres of Longmont, the honorary American Heart Association model representing the Outlets, will be appearing in the fashion show along with the Loveland center Strike A Pose model slate.

Stores offering additional exclusive discounts during this day-long event include Book Warehouse, Carter’s, Harry & David, Izod, J.Crew, L’eggs Hanes Bali, Osh Kosh B’gosh, Polo Ralph Lauren, Reebok Outlet Store, Rocky Mountain Chocolate, Tommy Hilfiger, Totes Sunglass World, Ultra Diamonds, Van Heusen, Vitamin World, Wilsons Leather Outlet, Workwear Store and all other retailers at the Outlets at Loveland. Additional giveaways include a Las Vegas 3-day, 2-night vacation, with accommodations at Tropicana Resort and round trip Allegiant Air flights from Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport, a Coach™ handbag and $50 Gift Cards to Ultra Diamonds. Guests may purchase additional raffle tickets for $1 each to increase their odds of winning. All raffle ticket proceeds will be donated to the beneficiary charity partners of the Shopping Extravaganza.

"This is going to be an amazing ladies' day,” says Kara Cavanagh, Marketing and Special Events Manager at the Outlets at Loveland. "There will be so much to see and do, in addition to the availability of major discounts from the stores at the Outlets at Loveland." McAlister's Deli will provide a delicious catered lunch and dessert will be courtesy of Butter Cream Cupcakery. Snowy Peaks Winery from Estes Park will host a wine tasting for shoppers. There will be entertainment from guitarist Michael Adam, and manicures provided by Hair Dynamics.

Ten participating charities and causes will benefit from Shopping Extravaganza ticket sales, including the Larimer County Child Advocacy Center, Colorado Wildlife Heritage Foundation, The Fashion Group International of Denver, Medical Center of the Rockies, Loveland High DECA, The Tiny Tim Center, Wyoming Children's Society, Santa Cops of Larimer County, Teaching Tree and Philo.

The Outlets at Loveland Shopping Extravaganza takes place Saturday, October 23, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with registration from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The mall will be open until 8:00 PM. Tickets are $20 and include exclusive shopping discounts, catered lunch, desserts, wine tasting, inclusion in all prize drawings, live music, fashion show and goodie bag. There are three Outlets of Colorado Shopping Extravaganza events annually. The third event of 2010 is on November 20 at the Outlets at Silverthorne.
