RiseSmart was named Most Innovative Company of the Year at 2011 American Business Awards.

This is yet more evidence that we have disrupted the $3 billion U.S. outplacement industry once and for all.

RiseSmart, a leading provider of next-generation outplacement solutions, announced that it has received the 2011 American Business Award for “Most Innovative Company of the Year” for companies with up to 100 employees. This year’s Stevie Award winners were announced at an awards gala last night at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.

The award is the latest in a series of recent honors for RiseSmart. On June 15, the company was named to the Red Herring Top 100 North America. Since April 2011, the company has also received recognition from TiE, SiliconIndia, the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal.

“RiseSmart’s momentum continues, thanks to the passion and dedication of our entire team,” said Sanjay Sathe, founder and CEO of RiseSmart. “This is yet more evidence that we have disrupted the $3 billion U.S. outplacement industry once and for all -- delivering unprecedented results to employers and their transitioning workers.”

In a market that has been dominated by traditional, brick-and-mortar business models, RiseSmart has injected the power of its proprietary, cloud-based technology and service platform to turn the industry on its head with its Transition Concierge outplacement solution. Transition Concierge reduces time-to-placement for transitioning employees by half compared to U.S. averages.

More than 2,800 American Business Award nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in more than 40 categories. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May. Stevie Award winners were selected from among the finalists in each category by members of 10 specialized final judging committees. More than 150 executives participated in judging.
