Coker will manage Motif’s overall business strategy, key customer relationships and the company’s U.S. operations. Coker brings to Motif more than 30 years of valuable financial services and benefits administration experience and has held senior management positions at global corporations including Mellon Bank, Fidelity Investments, Prudential Investments & Affiliated Computer Services (ACS).
Most recently, John served as Managing Director and President of Dallas based ACS HR Solutions, Inc. At ACS, he was responsible for the HR benefits outsourcing business (e.g., Defined Contribution plans, Defined Benefit plans, and Health & Welfare plans with over 4 million participants) and managed the entire business with revenues of $220 million and a staff of 1,800 associates.
Prior to ACS, John was the Chief Operating Officer of Mellon's Human Resources and Investor Solutions (HR&IS) and a member of the Mellon Financial Corporation Senior Management Team. In this capacity, he was responsible for all operational functions that supported the HR Outsourcing and Investor Solutions businesses with a budget of $250 million and 3,000 employees. Additionally, he was in charge of Mellon’s offshoring strategy and implementation which had resulted in 500 jobs offshored to India and the Philippines.
