Pollock Paper has launched a new website that will enable the company to connect more easily with consumers and suppliers. The new website, created by i5 web works, is an upgrade from an older version that no longer suited Pollock's needs. According to Lonnie Pollock, president of Pollock Paper, "Our customers indicated that it was often difficult for them to find what they needed on the old site, and that much of the available information was outdated and incomplete. They wanted our website to better serve them."
Two features of the new website that make it more user-friendly are simplified navigation and a clean layout. The navigation elements are clearly labeled and neatly organized, and each page is unique and uncluttered. Now when current and potential customers visit the site, they can easily find information about who Pollock Paper serves and the types of products and solutions that are available.
The technology behind the new site is more straightforward as well, which makes it simpler for content to be added and changed. According to Pollock Chief Operating Officer Tracy Evatt, "We want our customers to be aware of industry trends and the new products we offer, but it used to be so hard for us to update the site that we simply were not able to keep that information current. Since the new content management system is so intuitive, we can now provide website visitors with the most up-to-date information possible."
Also important to Pollock Paper was that the new website illuminate its "People Make the Difference" philosophy: "We are a very people-oriented company," said Evatt. "We love to get to know our customers and like to boast that Pollock Paper is like a family. The new website very accurately reflects how much we value relationships."
The website will not only bring new business to Pollock, but will also attract prospective employees and suppliers, without whom customer service would not be possible. Both Lonnie Pollock and Tracy Evatt said they are excited that Pollock Paper is developing its online presence, and Lonnie Pollock added that he is "looking forward to seeing how customers respond to the new, visitor-centric website."
