PackFlash, developer of superior modules for the DotNetNuke Web CMS (Content Management System), announces International Needs Australia as the newest user of the recently upgraded PackFlash Constellation CMS. PackFlash released version 3.2 of the Constellation Integrated Module Suite for DNN on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. With this advanced version, International Needs Australia now has capabilities to tie two or more websites together and share the content on those sites. Any content entered into the PackFlash modules can be shared including news, blogs, webinars, image galleries and videos.

The feature that first drew International Needs Australia to PackFlash was the shared content option that allows one module to be used in a variety of ways. Rather than bringing the user back to the original website, shared content is treated as part of the new site. This prioritizes engagement on the existing website by making sure that shared data doesn’t bring the user to a different location.

“We are implementing the PackFlash Constellation CMS because it has the most comprehensive modules available for DotNetNuke and yet is simple to use and well laid out.”
-Ivan West, Programs / Community Education at International Needs Australia.

Constellation is a combination of eight core DotNetNuke modules that are fully integrated with each other. No other module suite in the DotNetNuke (DNN) market offers this kind of integration. Image Gallery, Slideshow, Friendly URLs, Mega Drop-Down Menu, Comments, Videos and Events Module, News & Blog Module for DotNetNuke are all included in the module suite.

With Version 3.2 the Friendly URLs Module now has automatic detection of duplicate content and management of the canonical URL version across all of the websites that are sharing content. This prevents search engine penalties from arising due to duplicate content across web properties.

Additional upgrades to Constellation include a user interface improvement to the Mega Drop-down Menu Module to make it automatically detect and replace the existing menu system, administrative control of all menu settings, additional included themes, and versioning of the menus that are created.

“The team at PackFlash provide great support and have implemented a great new cross-portal feature. We are developing a mobile version of our site as a subdomain, so being able to enter information once and have it accessible across all portals automatically gives us a lot of freedom.”
-Ivan West, Programs / Community Education at International Needs Australia
