DSG became the official digital partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) earlier this year and have since launched a number of Player profile fan pages on social media site Facebook as well as providing official player pages on their site football.co.uk. It was today the turn of Newcastle United’s Papiss Cissé to see his official PFA Profile.

The Senegalese striker signed for Newcastle in January 2012 from Bundesliga side SC Freiburg. Upon arrival Cissé was given the famous Newcastle number 9 shirt and subsequently thrived under the pressure which the shirt bought with it scoring 13 goals in just 14 games. These performances were instrumental to Newcastle’s success last season and Alan Pardew and the Newcastle fans will all be hoping that he can continue this fine form in the upcoming Premier League season.

Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say “Cissé will have no shortage of fans after a hugely successful start to his Newcastle career whom all will be hoping that he can continue this impressive goal scoring record once this new season starts in a couple of weeks.”
“The emphatic nature of Cissé’s performances last season for Newcastle United requires a certain level of respect and responsibility and he is sure to be a major hit with fans on Facebook.”

Digital Sports Group will provide further PFA player profiles for every professional footballer in England. The Papiss Cissé Facebook page is now live.
