Executive Recruiting Search Firm Experiences Record Growth, Expands Team Size & International Assignments

Parker Remick Inc. -- a leading executive search consultancy serving top software companies -- today announced record-breaking growth for 2011. Parker Remick's new assignments grew nearly 100% year-over-year, significantly outpacing an 8% industry drop for new assignments in the technology sector as a whole. The firm has also grown its team with several key hires in 2011, and expanded its international projects to 23 countries, with recent assignments in Finland, Hungary, and Taiwan.

Parker Remick reported almost 100% growth in the number of search assignments launched for 2011 over 2010. By contrast, the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) reported a 5% increase in the average number of new search mandates for the retained executive search industry, and an 8% industry drop in the average number of new technology sector mandates (Q3 2010 to Q3 2011).

The company has scaled its team to keep pace with the growing assignment volume, and added Brent Hurtig as the firm's newest partner alongside Robert Healy and Kevin Williamson.

Before joining Parker Remick as a consultant in 2007, Brent was the founding COO of a No.1 Bizrate-ranked e-commerce site. Earlier, he helped introduce rich media content to CNET and other Vulcan Capital investments. He also served as Senior Product Manager for Digidesign (now Avid) through the company’s successful IPO, and founded EQ magazine. He has advised many respected Silicon Valley companies, and has written extensively on technology for Wired, Outside, and other outlets.

“We often serve venture-backed startups, and Brent offers first-hand understanding and insight into the needs of rapidly growing businesses,” commented partner Rob Healy.

Parker Remick has also expanded its in-house research and client service departments, bringing the team count to 12. "Original research is a core competency of a focused search firm," said Rob. "Keeping research in-house -- especially as Parker Remick scales -- allows our consultants to continue to work closely with our researchers, and to deliver the outstanding results that our clients have come to expect."

Parker Remick anticipates continued growth in 2012. Rob added, “The real story here is not our growth, but our journey of continuous improvement. A larger team enables our consultants to provide more time and better counsel to our clients and outstanding leaders.”
