Parker Remick's new assignments grew nearly 100% year-over-year, significantly outpacing an 8% industry drop for new assignments in the technology sector as a whole. The firm has also grown its team with several key hires in 2011, and expanded its international projects to 23 countries, with recent assignments in Finland, Hungary, and Taiwan.
Parker Remick reported almost 100% growth in the number of search assignments launched for 2011 over 2010. By contrast, the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) reported a 5% increase in the average number of new search mandates for the retained executive search industry, and an 8% industry drop in the average number of new technology sector mandates (Q3 2010 to Q3 2011).
The company has scaled its team to keep pace with the growing assignment volume, and added Brent Hurtig as the firm's newest partner alongside Robert Healy and Kevin Williamson.
Before joining Parker Remick as a consultant in 2007, Brent was the founding COO of a No.1 Bizrate-ranked e-commerce site. Earlier, he helped introduce rich media content to CNET and other Vulcan Capital investments. He also served as Senior Product Manager for Digidesign (now Avid) through the company’s successful IPO, and founded EQ magazine. He has advised many respected Silicon Valley companies, and has written extensively on technology for Wired, Outside, and other outlets.
