The name change comes one year after the StreetSmart Board of Directors appointed Robert Glatz CEO. “This is more than just a name change,” said Mr. Glatz. “The change to Fybr represents a clean break from our past, a fresh new direction for our company and a promise to our customers: Fybr will always deliver the very best in innovative products and superior customer service as we help cities ‘Connect People and Places’.”
Rik Goodwin, EVP Sales and Marketing, said “We chose the name Fybr because we found it evocative of the way technology, data and information work together to help make communities—both large and small—more vibrant. We feel that our new branding and logo design reflect this.”
The company’s new focus is already yielding impressive results, starting with the 2012 insourcing of all customer support functions, engineering and product design. “New product innovation has to be part of our DNA,” said Glatz. “The changes we have made feel like starting a new company. We’re now able to create new and better ways to serve our customers and enhance the end-user’s experience. You can expect that drive to continue as we move forward.”
“Our new strategy is to source or build technology that enables our sensor network to produce the accuracy necessary to drive our full suite of applications,” added Glatz. “We believe that accuracy and price matter, and innovation is the best route to both.”
