The beta launch of the Parkulture international parkour and freerunning directory is now active. Anyone can now access the service via the Parkulture website and submit their listing for approval. "This directory is an essential tool for our growing community," says Adrian Gonzalez, co-founder of Parkulture. "We get so many requests from people asking us where gyms are located or if we know anyone that does parkour in such or such place."
The database is designed to cater to most directory needs of the community. A section for "Clubs and Teams" allows grassroots connections with local groups. A "Pro Services" directory lists groups and individuals worldwide who provide parkour and freerunning at a professional level. The "Gyms and Academies" lists venues that offer supervised instruction of the disciplines. And finally the "Association" section delivers information about local, national and international organizations involved in parkour and freerunning.
The Parkulture database is "curated", meaning that every listing is reviewed for its legitimacy. Parkulture is inviting anyone who is interested in expanding his or her network to submit a listing via the online form.
Parkulture LLC is a Florida based international public benefit organization, with over 130,000 members, dedicated to the comprehensive development of parkour and freerunning at an amateur level. It is also the organizer of the Cross Urban Scramble and Parkulture Festival, the first international amateur competition.
