This was the biggest week for July patents so far. More patents were issued overall and the long running top category, Physics - Computing; Calculating; Counting, secured a whooping 981 patents – 101 more than last week. Other big happening in the categories list include Physics - Information Storage climbing its way back up from the 10th spot to number six.

This week’s top inventor, John Browder, was also last week’s number one inventor. However, Browder out performed himself securing one more patent this week than the week before. On the flip side, International Business Machines Corporation maintained it’s top spot despite securing 30 fewer patents this week.
