The second week of June patents held few surprises, however there were some new happenings. As is the case on most weeks, there was a new set of top inventors. However, the number of patents they secured were less on a whole compared to last week.
The top categories list was largely unchanged, with the exception of Physics - Photography; Cinematography; Analogous Techniques Using Waves Other Than Optical Waves; Electrography; Holography which replaced Electricity - Basic Electronic Circuitry. International Business Machines Corporation still reigns supreme a top the Assignees list. Those following behind are also no strangers to the top 10 list. The only assignees that are new to the list since last week are Canon Kabushiki Kaisha and Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd.
