I always look forward to the D.I.C.E. Summit each year, as it is a great opportunity to meet with our valued clients, and to network with prospective clients in a fun, laid-back environment. -Albert Donahue, CEO, Payelp
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 31, 2013
The D.I.C.E. Summit (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) is an annual multi-day gathering of video game and entertainment industry executives held by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. This year’s D.I.C.E. Summit will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada February 5 – 8, and will feature keynote speeches, networking activities, award ceremonies and more.
A much smaller meeting than say, GDC (Game Developer’s Conference) or GamesCom, the D.I.C.E. Summit enables attendees to actually have the opportunity and the time to talk to key people in the gaming and entertainment industry, by providing networking activities such as a golf tournament, go-karting tournament, poker tournament and the “Red Rock Canyon Run (or Hike).”
Albert’s long-time business associate Gabe Newell, President and Co-Founder of Valve Corporation, will be delivering the opening Keynote Speech on February 6th on “A View on Next Steps.” Other speakers include Victor Kislyi, CEO of Wargaming.net, another Payelp partner, who will be speaking on “The Evolution of Free-to-Play: From Tanks to Beyond.”
Albert has worked in the online gaming industry for some time now, and has developed many contacts in the video game and entertainment industry. As the former Executive Vice President and Co-Founder of a company that deals with online game monetization, and now the Chief Executive Officer of Payelp Global, a worldwide e-commerce and business development platform that has tens of thousands of merchants and 14 offices worldwide, Mr. Donahue travels extensively to e-commerce and gaming conferences, speaking on topics such as online game monetization, e-commerce in emerging regions, and more.
Mr. Donahue stated that he enjoys attending all types of video game conferences and expos, although he prefers the intimate setting of conferences such as the D.I.C.E. Summit, due to the fact that he gets to spend more time with current and future partners. “I always look forward to the D.I.C.E. Summit each year, as it is a great opportunity to meet with our valued clients, and to network with prospective clients in a fun, laid-back environment. I am happy that Gabe will be receiving an award at the D.I.C.E. Summit this year- he has definitely earned it.”
