Rapid Evolution of Consumer Payments Examined at PAYMENTS 2013

This year’s PAYMENTS conference will offer unparalleled education and opportunities to hear from and network with the major players shaping the future of payments. As such, PAYMENTS 2013 is poised to be the ‘can’t-miss’ event of the year for the industry.

Today, NACHA – The Electronic Payments Association announced the “Industry Agenda” general session held annually at PAYMENTS. This year’s Industry Agenda titled “Responding to Forces of Change in Consumer Payments” will examine the rapid change around the consumer and consumer payments and its impact on the payments ecosystem. The session will also explore how organizations are responding to these changes, in both proactive and reactive ways, and how their responses can determine the success of the evolving consumer relationship.

“Regulatory, economic and technological changes in the payments environment have transformed consumer payment behaviors,” said Janet O. Estep, president and CEO of NACHA. “We’re excited to be able to bring leading payments industry executives together to challenge the industry to rethink the ways in which we engage with the consumer.”

This year, PAYMENTS will be held April 21-24 in San Diego, Calif., at the San Diego Convention Center. The PAYMENTS 2013 Industry Agenda, sponsored by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Earthport, Guardian Analytics, J.P. Morgan, MasterCard, and Wells Fargo, will take place on April 22. In addition to the Industry Agenda, PAYMENTS 2013 will feature an opening general session, keynoted by founder and CEO of Moven, Brett King, and more than 130 educational sessions along eight conference tracks. New this year is PAYMENTS 3D, an interactive program showcasing leading payments innovators and challengers, including Clear2Pay, Clutch, FeedZai, FIS, Intuit/DST Output, Kabbage, Manilla, Mitek Systems, Nok Nok Labs, PAAGO, Pay Anyone, PhonePass, Popmoney, Sipree and SpotPay.
