PC Central provides a simple, secure, and reliable centralized desktop environment without the complexity of virtualization. Each user is assigned a PC CAN that is configured by a web browser. The end-user is connected to their PC CAN over Ethernet with all the functionality of a regular desktop at their figure tips. PC Central is indifferent to the application and delivers high-end graphics, high definition video and high definition audio simultaneously. The end-users have the flexibility of connecting any standard USB device on the desktop. Mass storage lock-out is an option for an added level of security configured through a management portal with a web browser.
PC Central does not require additional licensing and can be easily deployed with very limited resources. The main component is the PC CAN that is mounted in a server rack. Up to 4 users per 2U rack space can be deployed which offers up to 80 users per full size cabinet. The PC CAN is attached to the network via standard 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports. The CANs can be easily removed and serviced as a standard PC. The total cost of ownership for a PC Central 1:1 solution is reduced due to the following factors:
