This is about as good as it gets in digital outreach education,” says keynote speaker Brian David Johnson. “You’ll rarely find this much talent in one building on the same day. I look forward to sharing my perspectives as Intel’s chief futurist.
Portland, OR (PRWEB) November 18, 2010
Now in its third year, the Digital Marketing Conference has grown quickly into one of the Pacific Northwest’s most important events for the creative and interactive communities. On December 13 hundreds of the region’s online marketers and digital futurists will gather at Lincoln Hall on the PSU campus to discuss the current state of digital marketing, with topics like search engine marketing, social media, pay-per-click, and online marketing.
“This is about as good as it gets in digital outreach education,” says keynote speaker Brian David Johnson. “You’ll rarely find this much talent in one building on the same day. I look forward to sharing my perspectives as Intel’s chief futurist.”
The Conference will feature keynote speaker C.C. Chapman, a Boston-based media maven, co-author of the forthcoming Content Rules (Wiley) and founder of Digital Dads. The second keynote speaker will be Brian David Johnson, Futurist and Director, future casting and experience research at Intel and author of the recently released Screen Future (Intel Press). Additional speakers and presenters include David Allen (North), Cynthia Fuhrman (Portland Center Stage), Dennis Hahn, (ID Branding), and Chris Murphy (adidas US). For a description of the speakers and their topics, please visit the speakers page at Conference website.
“We are excited to have grown the conference every year since 2008,” says Jennifer Portis, the program manager for the Multimedia Professional Program. “And this year, PSU’s recently renovated Lincoln Hall will be showcased along with the creative professionals, local companies, and students involved.”
The schedule includes a digital marketing boot camp, designed for those new to digital marketing, and Ignite DMC, where local professionals share their recent interactive successes through rapid-fire presentations. The daylong conference includes three tracks and will be accessible to the highly trained professional as well the new business owner and marketing student.
Admission to the conference includes two keynote addresses, three tracks of learning, an interactive media panel discussion, and networking opportunities. Separate backstage VIP luncheon and post-conference activities are scheduled at Lincoln Hall and at Nel Centro. Portland-area marketing, business, and interactive design students are encouraged to talk with advisers regarding university credit options.
The Multimedia Professional Program at Portland State offers certificates in Interactive Design, Internet Producer, and Digital Marketing, and has been contributing to the growth of Portland’s interactive community since 1995.
