RVing is a way of life, a time for bonding and a time for seeing our country. How could that ever disappear?
Mesa, AZ (Vocus) September 28, 2009
August is usually an off month for the RV industry as rentals and RV sales decline after summer vacations. However, RV companies are seeing stronger than usual sales that generally indicates the following year is only going to gain momentum. As RVIA President Richard Coon stated on Fox Business Network, "Sixteen new RV companies have started up this year…campgrounds are full…business is coming back."
Pedata RV Center has seen interest from consumers in August that leads them to believe 2010 is going to be a good year for the RV industry. Pedata RV Center isn't the only one. Camping World RV in Ft. Meyers Florida saw a 15% increase in sales while Nolars RV Center Inc in Denver, CO was up 22% from last August.
Consumers aren't just renting, nor are they buying economic vehicles. RVs priced at $250,000 are selling. While it may take time to see a stable long term increase in sales, all signs point to a strong future for the RV industry. "It's about family, lifestyle and adventure," says Gerard Pedata. "RVing is a way of life, a time for bonding and a time for seeing our country. How could that ever disappear?"
