Building Better Days has been providing help and happiness to hospitalized children for years, and our goal is to bring in additional support from the community to support their efforts
Edgewater, MD (PRWEB) January 12, 2017
Browns Insurance, a Baltimore-area firm that offers asset protection and financial planning assistance to families and business professionals in the greater DC area, is launching a charity drive to support the Building Better Days organization and provide for hospitalized children.
Building Better Days provides one of several kinds of building toys to children with hospital stays of two or more nights. In addition to giving these children with an enjoyable diversion, building toys like Legos or Nanoblocks can help encourage a sense of accomplishment and control, reducing the anxieties that many children face during extended hospital stays.
“Building Better Days has been providing help and happiness to hospitalized children for years, and our goal is to bring in additional support from the community to support their efforts,” says Stefan Smallwood, founder and executive director of Browns Insurance.
To promote the charity event benefitting the Building Better Days organization, Smallwood and his team are working to gather assistance from residents of the Washington DC area using a comprehensive social media and email campaign. As well, a full length article on the charity event will appear in the next issue of “Our Hometown,” an online local interest magazine published by Browns Insurance: http://www.brownsins.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_39.
Several other charitable organizations operating in the DC area have enjoyed the support of the Browns Insurance team over the past few months. As recent entrants into the national “Agents of Change” charity support initiative, Smallwood and his team have pledged to assist a new local charitable cause every other month.
All those who would like to be part of the charity drive to raise support for the Building Better Days organization are invited by the Browns Insurance team to visit this page and take action in support of the cause: http://www.brownsins.com/Building-Better-Days-For-Our-Local-Children_15_community_cause. Future charitable causes supported by Browns Insurance will be discussed on the agency’s growing list of Community Causes: http://www.brownsins.com/community-cause.
