Moore Insurance, a family managed insurance and financial planning provider with offices serving Houston and the surrounding region, is joining the Cody Stephens Foundation to implement an ECG screening program that will protect students in Texas school districts from Sudden Cardiac Death.

Named after a young Texas lost to Sudden Cardiac Death in 2012, the Cody Stephens Foundation works with area schools to implement heart screening programs that can detect the markers for cardiac anomalies and ensure students receive the appropriate medical care. The Foundation also works to raise awareness of SCD in nearby communities and provide parents with important information about how to treat this dangerous condition.

“Sudden Cardiac Death is a very real and very scary medical condition that can easily be detected and treated, and this charity drive will help ensure that none of our children are affected by it,” says Jared Moore, owner and manager of Moore Insurance.

To promote the Cody Stephens Foundation charity event among to local families, business owners, and community leaders, Moore and his team have created a social media profile and launched an email update bulletin to share up to date information. As well, Moore and his team are drafting a feature article discussing the charity drive for publication in the firm’s online magazine “Our Hometown”: http://mooreinsuranceteam.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_39.

More than a dozen Texas-based charitable organizations and non-profits have received support from Moore Insurance over the last two years. As part of a permanent community improvement campaign dubbed “Agents of Change,” the firm plans to continue assisting a new local charity every other month.
