I’m proud to be a member of this group of hardworking attorneys, all of whom are committed to holding CMV carriers and operators accountable when their negligence has harmful and deadly consequences for motorists.

Pennsylvania personal injury attorney Daniel W. Munley has begun his term as national chair of the American Association for Justice’s Trucking Litigation Group (TLG).

Formed in 1990, members of the TLG strive to protect victims’ rights when commercial vehicle carriers and truck operators cause harm to other motorists in serious accidents.

Munley is a partner in the Pennsylvania personal injury law firm of Munley, Munley & Cartwright, P.C., which is based in Pennsylvania and handles cases involving trucks, tractor-trailers, 18-wheelers, semi-trucks and commercial motor vehicles throughout the Northeast.

Before taking on his new role as national chair, Munley also held positions in the TLG as chair-elect, vice-chair, treasurer, secretary and special projects coordinator. The Pennsylvania trucking accident attorney has also served on its executive board.

“It is an honor to further my involvement with TLG,” says Munley, whose personal injury practice has a special focus on tractor-trailer lawsuits. “I’m proud to be a member of this group of hardworking attorneys, all of whom are committed to holding CMV carriers and operators accountable when their negligence has harmful and deadly consequences for motorists.”

A recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for Trial Advocacy, Munley is a certified trial specialist and a certified civil trial advocate through the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is also certified by the Association of Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America.

Munley has spoken nationally about various aspects of trucking litigation and is a graduate of Ultimate Trial Advocacy at Harvard Law School. In addition, he contributed to the second edition of the American Bar Association’s Truck Accident Litigation publication in 2006.

As chair, Munley explains that he is committed to working with his colleagues to discuss and improve the quality of truck accident litigation across the country.

“Thousands of people’s lives are changed, even destroyed, when truck wrecks occur,” says Munley, a graduate of the University of Tulsa College of Law in Oklahoma. “Our purpose at TLG should be – and will always be – to make sure that we are the best lawyers out there, doing the best job we can and employing all of the right resources at trial, to make sure that people who are injured by tractor-trailers are compensated for their losses.”
