“Every second counts during an emergency, and if someone is being attacked, they don’t always have the ability to talk on the phone,” said Brad Zotti, MyForce chief executive officer.

Midwestern State University students, faculty and staff looking to increase their personal security now have a solution thanks to the university’s partnership with MyForce, a leading personal safety service.
Midwestern State University, located in Wichita Falls, TX, integrated the MyForce Campus System into its existing campus safety program, giving campus security officials access to the MyForce monitoring and alert system. When users send a MyForce alert from their smartphone, the monitoring system allows security professionals and campus law enforcement to immediately assess the situation by listening to audio, viewing the user profile and location, and coming to their aid if needed. In this way, the MyForce Campus System allows campus law enforcement to respond faster and more accurately than previous efforts afforded. When a user is off campus, the MyForce team works with local responders to address alerts.
"MyForce provides Midwestern State University students, faculty and staff with another level of security that we have not had available before,” said Dan Williams, chief of police at Midwestern State University. “Once an alert goes out, the immediacy in which the police have your information and location is outstanding."
Unlike other personal security options, users provide MyForce with important information, such as their name, photo, emergency contacts and known safety issues, upon registration. Because all identifying information is already available and user location is tracked by GPS, the professionally trained MyForce security agents don’t waste time asking questions, but instead act swiftly and efficiently to coordinate an emergency response with campus police or local authorities.
“Every second counts during an emergency, and if someone is being attacked, they don’t always have the ability to talk on the phone,” said Brad Zotti, MyForce chief executive officer. “That’s why MyForce is unique in its ability to eliminate the often cumbersome middle step of relaying your name or location to an emergency responder. Instead, users simply press a button and know that help is on the way. With MyForce, users never have to walk alone, we’re with you.”
Midwestern State University is the fifth campus to integrate the free MyForce Campus System into its existing safety program. All users receive MyForce free for 30 days. Parents, students and faculty associated with MWSU can sign up for monthly or annual memberships at a discounted rate with their university promotions code, which will be distributed on campus at events, orientation, at stations in the student union, and by campus law enforcement.
MyForce is the mobile bodyguard that arms users against danger with one touch sent from any iPhone, Android or Blackberry, and works across all carrier networks. MyForce gives users confidence and security against threats and provides families with freedom from worry. Founded by two safety-conscious fathers, Brad Zotti, CEO and Charlie Groves, COO, MyForce is headquartered in Denver but is available nationwide. The MyForce Campus System is currently in use on five campuses.
