Final Day of Week-Long Event to Help College Students Develop Vital Professional Skills Highlights Need to be "Open to Change"

PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) concluded Personal Brand Week today by encouraging college students to embrace opportunities and change. The firm posted a new set of interactive exercises and expert advice with the theme "Open to Change," to help students develop a long-term perspective on their careers.

“A career is a marathon, not a sprint,” said Holly Paul, national recruiting leader, PricewaterhouseCoopers. “Being adaptable to change and developing habits that help you focus on the big picture will keep your career moving forward. Students who remain open to change will be more prepared to jump on opportunities when they surface.”

Personal Brand Week, developed to help college students differentiate themselves in a crowded job market, has covered a number of essential topics, including: "Your Elevator Speech," to help students articulate their individual strengths; "Your Passion," to explain how students can channel this important trait to demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm to prospective employers; "Your Network," to highlight ways that college students can develop a professional network without years of work experience; and "Your Online Brand," to emphasize the importance of maintaining a clean online image.

PricewaterhouseCoopers will create a Personal Brand Week e-book summarizing the week-long event that will be made available to all students and college and university career services offices nationwide.
