Scott Brave, CTO and Co-Founder, Baynote

Baynote, a leader in personalization and digital marketing optimization, announced that co-founder and CTO Scott Brave, Ph.D., will participate in a panel discussion today at the OMMA Behavioral conference in New York City entitled “Recommendation Nation: Advancing the Art of Digital Suggestion.” The conference, which takes place annually with renditions on the East and West Coasts, convenes the leading minds in digital advertising to examine the latest developments and best practices in behavioral targeting.

In his session, Brave will share insights on how recommendation engines can increase sales as well as brand loyalty, and how these technologies have evolved far beyond those widely popularized by the likes of Amazon and Netflix. As a recognized thought leader on digital personalization and recommendations, Brave will also share his predications on where the technology is headed with consumers demanding more personalized experiences online and accessing the web on all devices.

As CTO of Baynote, Brave directs all ongoing development of the company’s unique UseRank® technology, which analyzes micro-behaviors to determine customers’ intent and content engagement, identifies other customers who share that intent, and finally promotes the content and products that those other customers find useful and engaging. Today, Baynote powers personalized recommendations, search and landing pages on more 300 websites, including AT&T, CA, Dell, Expedia, Intuit, Fox, Urban Outfitters and VEVO.

Prior to Baynote, Brave was a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University and served as lab manager for the CHIMe (Communication between Humans and Interactive Media) Lab.
