Pet Ringtones

I decided to have some fun and have my dog Lucy bark into my iPod and then write a ringtone with her barking along with her very own song . . . . My phone is ringing all the time and it really cracks people up and brings a smile to my face.

Peternalove.com, the sister site to Peternity.com (the online leader in artisan crafted pet memorials) has launched their new offering of Pet Ringtones. Peternalove.com specializes in selling unique products that help pet owners to celebrate the love of their pets. Peternalove has teamed up with award winning singer/songwriter Alice Leon to offer pet lovers custom written pet ringtones for cell phones based on the personality of their pets.

Demand for custom and luxury products for pets continues to grow as pet owners increasingly embrace their pets as members of the family. Despite the tough 2009 economy, people still spent more on their pets in 2009 than in any other year. Based on current pet industry trends, it is predicted that the pet industry will continue to grow at a rate of at least 3.8% per year, leading to a 70 billion dollar industry in 10 years. As of 2010, the pet industry grossed an impressive $48 billion.

Alice Leon is an award winning singer, songwriter and producer with many recording, TV and film credits. Leon has written and recorded for Crayola, Sony Records, Pepsi.com and has written over 60 songs for the Songs of Love foundation for sick children in hospitals around the country. Her staff of musicians holds numerous major record company credits as well as Broadway and Off-Broadway music credits.

A dog lover herself, Leon started writing pet ringtones for fun, first for herself and then for friends. When they were a big hit she decided to partner with Peternalove.com to bring them to a much broader audience. “As a jingle songwriter I decided to have some fun and have my dog Lucy bark into my iPod and then write a ringtone with her barking along with her very own song. I thought it would be cool and very funny to have my cell phone go off and hear her voice during the day. My phone is ringing all the time and it really cracks people up and brings a smile to my face.”

Available for purchase online only at Peternalove.com, customers simply answer some very specific questions about the personality of their pet, choose a pre-recorded musical style such as classic rock, ballad, country R&B, jazz, dance or disco, and then add a recording of their pet’s own bark, meow or whinny if they so choose. . Leon then writes completely original lyrics based on the answers to the questions and combines them with the chosen musical style and bark, meow or whinny. The custom written pet ringtone is then sent directly to the customer’s cell phone.
