New York, New York (Vocus/PRWEB) March 03, 2011
Peter Orszag, who has written a number of publications throughout his career, has been announced as a contributing writer associated with Michael Bloomberg's newest business venture, Bloomberg View. Composed of editorials that will be released through the many media outlets that are available to Bloomberg L.P., the business owned by the New York City Mayor that will be handling the new venture, Bloomberg View will reflect the opinions of Mayor Bloomberg through the voices of other writers, one of which is economist Peter Orszag.
According to The New York Times, the editorials that are published by Bloomberg View will often directly reflect the actions and opinions of the Mayor and provide insight into his involvement in many important issues, such as public health and education. The editorial pieces run by the new endeavor will cover a variety of important topics that are relevant to the interests of the people of the United States, and as economic issues are a major concern for both Americans and government employees, it is only natural that Orszag should be called upon to share his expertise.
Orszag has had much experience in the writing field, as he has co-authored several books and, last year, wrote a column for The New York Times. His articles and books have focused on pressing economic issues and have offered both information and guidance concerning how to best navigate the unsettled waters of America's economy. The same style, with the same commitment to informing the public about the nation's economic concerns and identifying the best ways in which to improve the economic situations for all involved, is expected from Orszag's work with Bloomberg View. In fact, this new venture can be observed as an outlet through which Orszag can reach out to Americans by informing them about the pressing economic issues that they face.
Peter Orszag grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts. After graduating summa cum laude from Princeton with an A.B. in Economics, Orszag went on to earn his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the London School of Economics. Since the advent of his career, Orszag has served in many positions, several of them being high-profile jobs with the government, and has written many
books and articles about contemporary economic issues. Currently the Vice Chairman of Citi Investment Group, Orszag is the former head of the Office of Budget and Management and is regarded as an expert concerning the economics of the United States.
