Peter Popoff was born of Bulgarian-German descent in East Berlin, during the Red reign of terror on religious institutions after the war, Peter and his family escaped to the United States where he preached his first sermon at age nine and conducted his first crusade at age fourteen. Peter and his wife Elizabeth have ministered in over forty countries. In the beginning the primary focus of Popoff's ministry was to aid the underground church behind the Iron and Bamboo Curtains. He spearheaded a massive Bible smuggling crusade that successfully penetrated the Iron Curtain and sparked a revival that continues to this day. On over 100 radio stations daily, he preached to believers in the West that our persecuted brethren needed our prayers, and that we could not forget the part of Christ's body that was bleeding and suffering for its faith.
