Fate has its way of letting seemingly simple things irrevocably alter the course of people’s lives. This is what Larry Bulger discovers. At 30 years old, Larry is enjoying the rewards that his life and career in the engineering industry brought him. As Larry becomes immersed in a land and culture as diverse and colorful as the people themselves, he finds himself in the middle of a tangle of ongoing political upheaval, two-faced acquaintances, and perilous circumstances.

But the paradise-like archipelago holds secrets unknown and dangerous to many, especially to a foreign person like him. Soon, he finds himself caught up with people intent on using him for their own ends.
