Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) July 2, 2009 -
The Philadelphia personal injury law firm of Feldman, Shepherd, Wohlgelernter, Tanner, Weinstock & Dodig in 2008 secured four regionally and nationally ranked recoveries on behalf of construction and motor vehicle accident victims and their families. In verdicts and settlements rankings recently released by The Legal Intelligencer and VerdictSearch, three of the firm's settlements were named among the top 50 in Pennsylvania for 2008, while a $31 million verdict arising out of a motor vehicle accident was ranked among the top 100 verdicts and settlements of 2008 nationwide. Feldman Shepherd was one of just two Philadelphia law firms to be listed among the top 100 verdicts and settlements.
"It is gratifying to have the legal community recognize the hard work we do on behalf of our valued clients," said Feldman Shepherd managing partner Alan M. Feldman. "At Feldman Shepherd, we strive to provide personalized service and diligent attention to detail to each client in attaining the best outcome possible. We believe this is evident in how we handle matters, and in the results we obtain for our clients."
Listed as the 11th largest recovery in Pennsylvania, Alves v. Eagle Crane Service, handled by attorneys John M. Dodig and Jason A. Daria, resulted in a $13 million settlement for a 33-year-old construction worker who was rendered quadriplegic in a fall at a Pennsylvania construction site. Feldman Shepherd attorneys Mark W. Tanner and Daniel J. Mann in Glynn v O'Halloran obtained an $11 million settlement in a fatal Pennsylvania motor vehicle crash, the 16th largest recovery statewide. And Alan M. Feldman and Daniel J. Mann in Rutter v. Frank Ferrara & Son Inc. represented a Pennsylvania construction worker who was impaled upon a piece of uncapped rebar steel, securing a $3 million settlement that was listed among the top 45 verdicts and settlements statewide. The rankings appeared in The Legal Intelligencer's March 9 list, "Top Cases of 2008."
Nationally, the firm saw Anderson v. County of Camden's $31 million verdict named 62nd in VerdictSearch's "Top 100 Verdicts and Settlements of 2008." The case arose out of a New Jersey motor vehicle accident that resulted in the amputation of the plaintiff's left leg and serious injuries to the plaintiff's left arm and right leg. The plaintiff, then-18-year-old Nicholas Anderson, lost control of his vehicle on a road that he contended the county had failed to properly maintain. Attorneys John M. Dodig and Jason A. Daria handled the matter for Mr. Anderson.
