I look forward to discussing this important topic with our panelists. Each person brings a unique perspective of how our industry can attract the next generation of insurance professionals.

Peter L. Miller, CPCU, president and CEO of The Institutes, will moderate a panel discussion at Philly I-Day on April 11 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The session, “Engaging the Next Generation—Spanning the Talent Gap,” will focus on how various educational organizations and businesses are working together to ensure that employers in the insurance industry are able to attract the next generation’s best talent.
The industry has identified a looming problem with a talent gap as baby boomers retire and a need for central coordination to facilitate a unified approach. At an industry-wide event, nearly 100 organizations identified a need for leadership to coordinate this effort and The Institutes and its affiliates were identified as the facilitators due to their wide reach across the industry. Miller was selected to moderate this Philly I-Day session, as The Institutes are leading the Engaging the Next Generation initiative in collaboration with the industry.
“I look forward to discussing this important topic with our panelists,” Miller said. “Each person brings a unique perspective of how our industry can attract the next generation of insurance professionals.”
