Clearwater Compliance has announced its participation in the premium sponsorship of the PHI Protection Network Forum 2013 scheduled for March 12-13 in Boston, MA, in addition to the On-Demand Webinar Series. In March 2012, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), ISA and the Shared Assessments Program released a report calling for enhanced security to safeguard protected health information: The Financial Impact of Breached Protected Health Information: A Business Case for Enhanced PHI Security. A core group of contributors to this report, including Mary Chaput, MBA, CIPP-US, CHP, CFO and Compliance Officer of Clearwater Compliance, recognized the need for industry-level support to expedite the adoption of PHI best practices. The result of this need generated the PHI Protection Network (PPN).
Speaking with hundreds of privacy and security professionals, we realized that they needed a way to build, defend and present a business case for PHI protection,” said Mary Chaput, MBA, CIPP-US, CHP, CFO and Compliance Officer of Clearwater Compliance. “Clearwater Compliance chose to join an impressive team of premium sponsors of the PHI Protection Network Forum to help those professionals responsible for protecting PHI get the funding they need to enhance their security programs.”
Privacy and security professionals can choose to watch one or all three of the free, on-demand webinars offered by the PHI Protection Network. Webinar information is as follows:
