The concept of ‘The Borrowed White Box’ is to temporarily convert abandoned buildings and warehouses that have shut down due to the economy into art galleries.

San Francisco real estate agent Bonnie Spindler will be holding a photography art exhibit in San Francisco on Thursday, February 24 through Tuesday, February 29. The exhibit will feature over 30 new art photographs by Spindler and William Cendak II.

“All photography is in high definition and bonded to anodized aluminum,” said Spindler, a San Francisco Victorian house specialist. In addition to the artwork, guests will enjoy wine tasting and musical entertainment by Mr. Lucky sitting in with the Ramshackle Romeos.

The exhibit will be held at The Borrowed White Box located at 1036 Hyde Street in between California and Pine Streets from 6:30 to 9:30 pm on Thursday, February 24 and from 5 to 7 pm the following Friday, Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday. “The concept of ‘The Borrowed White Box’ is to temporarily convert abandoned buildings and warehouses that have shut down due to the economy into art galleries,” explained Spindler.

Spindler pursued master’s level education at the San Francisco Art Institute. After working in the advertising and interior design worlds, Spindler moved into real estate sales in 1994. Today, she continues to express herself artistically. Thursday’s exhibit is Spindler’s first art exhibit where her photography will be offered for sale.

The exhibit will also feature photography works from William Cendak II. As an electrician in San Francisco with access to many iconic buildings and structures, such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Cendak’s works exhibit an industrial “flare.”

Musical entertainment for the evening will be provided by Mr. Lucky sitting in with the Ramshackle Romeos. In addition to his impeccable 40's and 50's attire, Mr. Lucky is known for being at the forefront of the swing revival in San Francisco. An artist many times over, he is an actor, poet, and painter as well as a musician.

The Ramshackle Romeos are veteran Music Man Kevin ink and local barfly Jamin "Sudsy" Barton, armed with an arsenal of bizarre instruments and classic tunes. The band is due to release their "20,000 Martinis Under the Sea" album this spring.
