New York, NY (PRWEB) January 19, 2009
People always remember what they were doing when a historic event occurred. So when they experience the inauguration with their family and friends, Kodak invites them to not only remember the moment, but capture and share it with those who matter most. In celebration of the historic Inauguration of president-elect Barack Obama, Kodak has partnered with prominent political and civil rights photographers Bob McNeely and Ben Fernandez to discuss the emotional power of photography and to encourage the world to capture the historic moment of Barack Obama's election with a family portrait.
McNeely, former personal photographer of President Bill Clinton and director of photography at the White House during Clinton's presidency is accompanying President-elect Barack Obama in the days leading up to and just after his historic Inauguration. McNeely's images will be shown daily at 4 p.m. on Kodak.com.
Fernandez, a photojournalist whose career spans more than 45 years and who has captured some of the most iconic moments of our lifetime, many of Martin Luther King Jr. and the last year of his life, will also be celebrating this momentous occasion by sharing never-before-seen images of Martin Luther King Jr. on Kodak.com this week.
Photo enthusiasts can also view tips and tricks on how to capture the moment with their family and friends by visiting a Historic Kodak Moment. They are also invited to upload photographs of their personal Inauguration experiences for a chance to be featured in the Official Inaugural Photo Book that will include behind-the-scenes moments of this historic event.
