PicPad’s founder Laura Eiman created this special Holiday Photo Contest for Charity as a way for PicPads to augment and magnify the selfless acts of giving that our family, friends and neighbors engage in year 'round. Big and small, there are many wonderful non-profit charities, schools, arts organizations, faith based organizations, social services and community groups that make a difference and inspire us to give and get involved. Laura explains,

“We've designed the contest to benefit all the nominated organizations. Every nominee will be posted on the PicPads page on Facebook, helping to spread the word about the organization’s good works and, perhaps, inspiring new volunteers, donors and evangelists for its cause. The winning organization receives 100 customized PicPads it can use as gifts, sell, or help raise awareness for its cause.”

Nominations are being accepted at picpads.com/photocontest.php. Entrants will be asked to submit a photo of their favorite non-profit organization in action, a 50 word description why it inspires and makes a positive impact, and its website address/URL. Five Finalists will be chosen based equally upon the following criteria: visual appeal, creativity, mission and relevance to the theme "why this particular charitable organization inspires me and makes a positive impact." The winner will be selected by public voting on the PicPads website.

November 18 – December 8: Nomination Period
December 8 – 10: Finalists Notified
