Pier 33 Marina of St. Joseph, MI received awards during the 47th. Annual Chaparral Boats Dealer Conference for superior performance in sales and in customer service.
Pier 33 was again recognized as a “Top Thirty Dealer” among all Chaparral dealers in the U.S. and abroad for sales of new boats from Chaparral during the 2011 model year. Chaparral is a leading builder of family performance runabouts and cruisers.
In addition to receiving the prestigious sales award, Pier 33 also received recognition for outstanding Customer Satisfaction earning a score of 100%.
“It’s an honor to be recognized for both outstanding sales and outstanding customer service,” said Pier 33 General Manager Tighe Curran. “But we know that these two awards really go hand in hand. Our boaters deserve the highest level of service possible to go along with their new boat purchase and our entire crew works hard to provide that.”
Pier 33’s ability to provide boaters with a total experience is crucial to their boating enjoyment and satisfaction according to Curran. “We’re a full-service marina and we are able to provide on-water orientation and instruction with each new boat. Our new Chaparral owners can take advantage of our dockage facilities, Launch-On-Command service, factory trained technicians and a great boating atmosphere in and around St. Joseph.”
In addition to Michigan boaters, many Pier 33 clients come from nearby Illinois & Indiana and Pier 33 is able to reach out to those boaters through prominent boat show displays and other events, plus a user-friendly web-site, electronic newsletter and social media. Curran notes the broad reach of Pier 33's marketing and service area: “Our most successful boat shows include Grand Rapids, MI, Chicago, IL and Michigan City, IN … so you can see that we reach boating enthusiasts across a wide region.”
Pier 33’s success during 2011 has also been seen in increased sales of new boats from Pursuit and Scout and Curran reports that used boat sales have also been strong. “We now provide such a variety of new boats and used boats that we’re able to satisfy almost any boaters’ needs.” The summer boat sales season will be capped with next week’s 2011 Pre-Owned Boat Sale, featuring special buys on used boats, including Pier 33 trade-ins, brokerage boats, three on-line auctions, dealer demos and 2011 model-year new-boat close-outs.
