Howard, PA (PRWEB) February 20, 2014

Today, Superior Plus Energy Services brought its Pink Truck program to the Howard, Pa., region. The mission of this eye-catching truck is to raise awareness and fund research to find a cure for breast cancer.

Superior Plus Energy Services donates 5 cents for every gallon of heating oil delivered by a Pink Truck, with a minimum yearly donation of $50,000. Customers receiving a delivery by one of these trucks are given a pink bag as a reminder that their delivery helped support breast cancer research.

Since 2010, Superior has donated more than $200,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation®, a 20-year-old charity with the mission to find a cure.

"I love seeing the Superior Pink Truck in my neighborhood," said Sue Coursen, a breast cancer survivor and recently retired Superior Plus employee. "The Pink Truck program gives me and many others hope for a future without this abhorrent disease."

This Pink Truck will deliver heating oil to the Howard region for the remainder of the season, serving customers from the Nittany Valley Drive service center. Prior to Howard, the truck served heating oil customers in the Williamsport area and other parts of northern and central Pennsylvania.

"I think everyone’s lives have been touched by breast cancer, whether a relative, friend or acquaintance," said Harvey Zerbe, Superior’s customer service center manager for the Howard region. "While we continue to help our heating oil customers warm their homes or businesses, our Pink Truck program is fueling the research and education needed to create a world without breast cancer."
