Watch this video: Pixability CEO Bettina Hein could not contain her excitement and had to take off her shirt to mark the occasion.

Today Pixability, a company that helps small and medium-sized businesses tell their story and increase sales with video, announced that Peter Shankman, the creator and founder of HARO and the Geek Factory, and Janet Muto, a successful entrepreneur and a former VP of Marketing for Constant Contact, have joined Pixability’s Advisory Board. Peter also became an angel investor to help Pixability and its CEO Bettina Hein continue to innovate video marketing for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs).
An entrepreneur, author, speaker, and worldwide connector, Peter Shankman is recognized worldwide for radically new ways of thinking about Social Media, PR, marketing, advertising, creativity, and customer service. Best known for creating Help a Reporter Out (HARO), which in less than year became the de-facto standard for thousands of journalists looking for sources on deadline, Peter has built the largest free source repository in the world.
“I do believe that everyone is an expert at something (hence the HARO’s tagline) and everyone needs an impactful way to showcase their expertise,” shares Peter Shankman. “I believe that impactful way is with online video. And I can’t think of a better, more customer-oriented and execution-focused partner for video marketing than Pixability.”
Besides Pixability, Peter sits on the advisory boards of select few companies, including Scottevest and the NASA Civilian Advisory Council, appointed to that position by NASA Administrator Charles Bolden.
“Pixability would not be where we are today – serving the video marketing needs of hundreds of growing companies, if it were not for the smart entrepreneurs who religiously follow HARO on a daily basis,” says grateful Bettina Hein, CEO and founder of Pixability.” Peter and Janet have helped us hone our business and marketing strategy and become truly relevant for those businesses committed to increasing demand using business video.”
“I think video is going to be the next killer app in the SMB marketing arsenal – much like email was in 2000s,” Janet Muto predicts. “I trust Pixability’s got the pulse of that market and will ride that next wave of the online video revolution as a winner.”
Janet Muto is a veteran marketing executive with strong expertise in SaaS, technology, sales, and the small and medium-size business (SMB) market. Now an integral part of the High Start Group, specializing in mobile, consumer web, and products for small and medium-sized businesses, Janet used to serve as the Vice President of Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer for Constant Contact, where she grew the SaaS business to 25,000 SMB customers.
Pixability helps small and medium-sized businesses tell their story and increase sales with video. Pixability makes it affordable and easy to create professional web videos with a simple three-step process: customers shoot their own video footage with expert guidance, Pixability edits the videos professionally and then helps to market them on YouTube, Facebook and other platforms. Headquartered in Cambridge, MA, Pixability was founded in 2008 and recently won the Small Business Summit's Hot Tech Award.
