plan b enjoyed its official Meridiani launch party earlier this month at the plan b showroom, 195 Davenport Rd, Toronto.
Over 200 people from the media and design community turned out to enjoy this preview of the Meridiani collection introduced for the first time in Canada. Those in attendance included Suzanne Dimma, Editor-in-Chief of House & Home magazine; Sergio Sgaramella, Chief Executive Officer of Azure magazine; Tory Healy, Editor at Azure magazine, and Shauna Levy, Vice-President of MMPI Canada and Co-Founder and Director of the Interior Design Show. Jentry Chin designed the plan b showroom which he converted for the event, showcasing some of Meridiani’s signature pieces such as the Bogart and Belmondo sofas. The much-sought after DJ Daniel Buckman of Bellosound provided guests with the music backdrop for the evening, while guests enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres and wine and mingled with Meridiani brand manager Paolo Boffi who flew-in from Italy to attend.
“The addition of the Meridiani line to plan b’s collection of brands, offers clients an alternative in contemporary furnishings that interprets classic themes and tradition with contemporary style” said plan b president and owner David Beaton. “For over a decade, plan b has provided clients with luxury design for residential and commercial spaces. Meridiani enhances what we offer to our residential clients by providing very flexible, very simple pieces that compliment a number of different styles and anchors all other contemporary furnishings.” plan b vice-president Jennifer Richardson shares “We are very excited to be the exclusive carrier of Meridiani in Canada”.
Classic styling with a modern twist is the trademark look of Meridiani, also renowned for its comfort and fine craftsmanship. The Meridiani look is stripped down sophistication: simple, clean, and refined, relying on beautiful color combinations, fabric textures, and sensuous curving lines for complexity and depth - resulting in elegant restful compositions which stand the test of time, but which are still able to deliver the drama when the lights are turned down low. A favorite of the yachting set on the Coast of France and Monaco, Meridiani is perfectly suited for today's casually elegant modern lifestyle - (deck shoes are optional).
