Temecula, CA (Vocus) June 2, 2010
Emergency communications leader PlantCML®, an EADS North America company, is showcasing its full-circle security and communications portfolio at the 2010 National Emergency Number Association (NENA) Conference and Trade Show in Indianapolis from June 5 – 10. This portfolio, purpose-built for today’s emergency operations centers (EOCs), includes call center applications, emergency notification solutions and services and land mobile radio.
“The NENA annual conference plays an essential role in educating 9-1-1 professionals with the latest findings and movement toward NG9-1-1 by offering superior educational sessions, vendor presentations, keynote sessions and one of the industry’s largest trade shows,” said Darrin J. Reilly, Chief Operating Officer, PlantCML. “We are honored to play such a large part in the conference and trade show as we continue to lead the way with our next-generation IP solutions.”
As a leader in the public safety industry, PlantCML representatives were invited to speak at the event. Ian McGraw, Chief Technology Officer, will speak at the Monday afternoon Super Session, From 5 Months to 5 Years: NENA’s Vision for the Future of Emergency Communications. He also will contribute to the following educational sessions on Wednesday, June 9: NG-SEC Cyber Security 101, from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.; and Emergency Communications and NG9-1-1 for the PSAP, from 1 – 2 p.m. Jeff Gillan, Senior Product Manager, will participate in the NG9-1-1 Network and System Transition educational session on Wednesday, June 9 from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
In addition, PlantCML will participate in the NG Showcase and Vendor Presentation area on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. as the company continues to demonstrate the commitment to the advancement of NG9-1-1 with our Next Generation Enablement Module™ (nGEM). Its featured presentation will describe the interoperability of network agnostic solutions with a majority of the NG9-1-1 network providers using our VESTA® Pallas™ and Sentinel® Patriot® call processing solutions. nGEM is truly the enabler of the PlantCML network agnostic strategy as it translates the complexities of NG9-1-1 SIP signaling from multiple vendors to “commercial” SIP that can be handled by a variety of SIP-capable telephony systems.
PlantCML customers Hamilton County, Indiana, Sheriff’s Office, Indianapolis Fire Department, Indianapolis International Airport and Marion County, Indiana, Sheriff’s Department will be featured during the PSAP Tours on June 6, 8 and 9.
On the trade show floor, PlantCML’s in-booth theater area will feature a mock live PSAP, showcasing numerous native IP applications to satisfy the needs of any size EOC. Solutions on display will include the VESTA® and Sentinel® call processing solutions, the ORION™ Vela® mapping solution, and the Aurora® management information system (MIS) solution, as well REVERSE 911® Self Registration Portal, The Communicator!® NXT™ emergency notification system and the Geocast® Web™ mapping solution. An overview of PlantCML’s land mobile radio offering, CORP25, and notification solutions and services will be presented. Additional theater presentations will include Advanced IP Deployments, Text messaging in the EOC and The Journey to NG911.
