Platinum Protection to Offer Two-Way Voice over Cellular Technology
Platinum Protection offers new cellular technology that allows two-way voice without the need for customers to have a home phone line.

Using advanced cellular technology, the new offering from Platinum will enable homeowners who do not have a land-based home phone line to verbally communicate through the alarm system with monitoring personnel in event of an alarm. Two-way voice works by allowing monitoring station personnel the ability to listen in on a home after an alarm goes off. For example, if a thief breaks into a home that has been equipped with this type of alarm system, the monitoring agent who receives the alarm signal can listen to the audio in the home and verify the threat or determine if it is a false alarm. In recent years, two-way voice verification has become an essential part of any home alarm system because an increasing number of police departments will not respond to unverified home alarm signals. And until recently, this technology was only available to homeowners with a home phone line.
