PlayCore, a leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of a broad range of play and recreation products, will be holding a Professional Development Symposium in El Paso, Texas on Tuesday, February 26, 2013. Presented by PlayCore’s Center for Professional Development, the event will include sessions that illustrate the importance of making play a priority in communities by sharing research on the benefits of play from the world’s leading play scholars. The event will also include sessions the new ADA standards for accessible design, and moving beyond accessibility to focus on creating inclusive environments for people of all ages and abilities.
Designed for professionals in the fields of park and recreation, landscape architecture and education, the symposium will begin at 10:00 am and will be held at Don Haskins Recreation Center. Hosted by El Paso Parks and Recreation and sponsored by Triple M Recreation and GameTime. Master trainers, Jennie Sumrell and Tom Norquist from PlayCore’s Center for Professional Development will conduct interactive sessions that offer Continuing Education Units for professionals and promise to be lively, informative, and educational. Lunch and education resources will be provided.
