Plumbworld Announce Bazaarvoice Video Product Review Winner
Plumbworld the UK's largest online bathroom retailer has announced the winner of its video product review competition.
(PRWEB) November 15, 2009 -- Plumbworld the UK's largest online bathroom retailer are pleased to announce Charis Selfridge and Nicki Poor the winners of its video product review competition by handing over a cheque for £1000 to them.
The competition was put in place in partnership with Plumbworld’s new online product review system which has been implemented in the last couple of months to increase customers to leave reviews on items they have purchased from the website.
Plumbworld have worked alongside Bazaarvoice, the market and technology leader in hosted social commerce applications which is used by some of the largest online retailers, to achieve a slick and easy way for customers who have purchased items from Plumbworld to leave a review. Reviews can take the form of simple text reviews, text reviews with photos, or in this case text reviews with embedded video.
Miss Selfridge and Miss Poor created the video review and uploaded it to YouTube which is both quick and easy to do, and then linked the video when submitting their text review on the Plumbworld website. The video review is based around the very attractive Architeckt Kubik Single Spray Chrome Shower Kit which is currently on a special offer at Plumbworld.
Since the launch of the Product Review system by Plumbword, it has proved very successful and now the website displays over 2500 product reviews. Recent studies show that reviews are considered an integral part of e-tail with 97 per cent of UK consumers trusting what they read online. The online reviews feature is becoming increasingly familiar in online transactions, originally seen as an aid to other potential buyers, online reviews are becoming a valued source of direct customer feedback for retailers and manufacturers.
Plumbworld will be using the customer feedback and experiences to evaluate product design, quality and customer services in an aim to continue to provide the best products at the best price and give the consumer the best online shopping experience possible.

Plumbworld is based in Evesham, Worcestershire and now employs 50 staff within their 2,000 sqm, purpose built warehouse and offices. The company had a turnover in 2008 in excess of £18 Million. Plumbworld was established in 1999 by James and Anita Hickman who sold the business to The Grafton Group Plc in December 2006.
