“We are grateful to have been selected as the window and door provider for a third Extreme Makeover: Home Edition build, especially one that will help an entire community, in addition to a new Girls Hope family,” said Chris Pickering, Ply Gem windows.
Cary, NC (PRWEB) July 15, 2010
Ply Gem Windows, a manufacturer of window and door products for the residential new construction and home repair and remodeling end markets, was selected to provide Ply Gem Windows Mira Premium Series windows and patio doors for a Season 8 episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" in Baltimore, Md. The build began July 9 and the home will be revealed to the recipients of the "Boys Hope-Girls Hope" organization on July 18.
Excel Homes, the leading manufacturer of custom modular houses, and the Maryland Community Builders' Foundation, the charitable arm of the Home Builders Association of Maryland are building the new home for "Boys Hope-Girls Hope" with the help of Artisan Fine Homes.
"Boys Hope-Girls Hope" is an organization that provides a home for promising inner city youth and prides itself on nurturing a community's future. In Baltimore, there is only a Boys Hope home, so the organization has purchased a parcel of land near Boys Hope to build a similar Girls Hope home for young inner city women, providing them with the same opportunities to achieve their maximum potential. "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" has jumped in to complete the build and help make this dream a reality.
"We are grateful to have been selected as the window and door provider for a third Extreme Makeover: Home Edition build, especially one that will help an entire community, in addition to a new Girls Hope family," said Chris Pickering, vice president, marketing, Ply Gem windows. "We have donated top-of-the-line, low maintenance, architecturally styled windows for this build, which promises to be one of the most exciting and inspirational projects that we've completed with Ply Gem Windows."
The Ply Gem Windows Mira Premium Series windows and patio doors donated for the "Boys Hope-Girls Hope" "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" project are aluminium clad-wood new construction windows. All windows donated exceed ENERGY STAR® guidelines and come standard with Low-E glass and argon-gas fill for increased energy efficiency. Additionally, the Ply Gem windows and patio doors are NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) Research Center Green Approved.
Crafted for performance and value, Ply Gem Windows deliver an array of high quality solutions for new construction and remodeling projects, providing builders with the selection of material and style options needed to satisfy any customer demand.
