Marking one year since the launch of its online store, POINT 3 Basketball has upgraded its site with a new brand anthem, streamlined shopping experience, integration of social commerce and the introduction of new loyalty and ambassador programs. The site’s re-launch affirms POINT 3’s exclusive focus on the needs of the basketball player through their direct-to-consumer channel.

Highlighting the significance of 0.3 seconds in the game of basketball, the apparel company’s brand anthem “Every POINT 3 Matters” illustrates how even a fraction of a second can determine on-court success. POINT 3 incorporated data accumulated over the last year into the re-design of its online store. Included amongst those upgrades are enhanced product pages with new imagery, social shopping functionality with ties to visitor social media profiles and a section for user product reviews.

“With a year now under our belts, we have a clear sense of how basketball players interact with our site, shop, and connect to the brand,” said David MacCarroll, Chief Technology Officer for POINT 3. “These upgrades have all been designed with the ballplayer in mind, to show them our unique product benefits.”

Also rolled out with the site’s re-design is a streamlined Army of Ballers loyalty program, rewarding customers who join with limited edition items, special offers and the latest information on POINT 3. Upgrades to POINT3Basketball.com will be released in two phases, with the second phase scheduled to launch around the upcoming release of POINT 3’s new 2012 apparel styles.
