Full Tilt Poker's Lee Watkinson Wins his First WSOP Bracelet

Watkinson takes home more than $655,000 for winning the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Tournament.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) July 13, 2006 -- Full Tilt Poker’s Lee Watkinson knows how to make an entrance. Just days after becoming one of the online poker site’s newest professional representatives, Watkinson played his way to his first career WSOP bracelet, winning the $10,000 buy-in Pot-Limit Omaha tournament.

In addition to the gold bracelet, Watkinson earned $655,746 for his victory, which came after he turned a 7-high straight to eliminate Mike Guttman following more than 90 minutes of intense heads-up play.

Watkinson’s victory gives www.FullTiltPoker.com its fourth bracelet of the 2006 WSOP and comes just one day after Allen Cunningham scored his latest victory in the $1,000 with Rebuys No-Limit Hold ‘em tournament. In total, Full Tilt Poker’s 47 professional players now own a combined total of 62 WSOP bracelets between them.

“Winning his first bracelet against such a tough field shows what a great all-around player Lee is,” said fellow Full Tilt Poker pro Howard Lederer. “We are proud and excited to have Lee join our team.”
