Nike Baseball Camps Announces Dates For Camp At Lewis And Clark College in Portland Oregon

NIKE Baseball Camps offers locations nationwide for players ages 6-18 of all abilities and is pleased to announce its return to the Oregon location, Lewis and Clark College, July 15-18, 2012.

Campers train daily at the Joe Huston Memorial Sports Complex. The field is located directly behind the Lewis & Clark College School of Law, is home to both Pioneer baseball and softball fields. The Huston Sports Complex is named in honor of Joe Huston, football coach at Lewis & Clark for seventeen seasons, and is home for this summer baseball camp.

“We are thrilled to have confirmed our 2012 dates at Lewis and Clark” states Mike de Surville, Vice President of US Sports Camps. “We look forward to the start of this camp and are confident that this location will be the premier baseball camp in Oregon."

Directing the NIKE Baseball Camp at Lewis and Clark College in Oregon is Tom Flynn. Coach Flynn was appointed as the new Pioneer head baseball coach on May 24, 2010. Flynn became the Pioneers tenth head baseball coach in programs 63 seasons on Palatine Hill. He came to the Pioneers after serving as the head baseball coach at Wabash College in Indiana for six seasons (2001-2006).

Nike Baseball Camps provide focused, intensive training that is essential to improvement for all skill levels. Every facet of the game is covered with an emphasis on fundamentals to help players become valuable team members. At each location, campers are broken into groups with other players of similar age, abilities and goals. Each camp director does their best to advance players to the next level, keeping in consideration each camper’s experience and desire to improve.
