Forget about ÂTony n TinaÂs Wedding -- ÂWho Stole My Dead Husband? is PortlandÂs newest interactive dinner theater. The producers Loren Castillo and Lou Pallotta have created something new and special for both fine dining and theater crowds, but above all, for people that just like to have fun.
The dinner theater show started in Portland, Oregon, in September with Saturday nights but has recently added Friday nights, as well, and has extended its run through May due to overwhelming popularity.
The producers, along with director Stan Foote, have created an experience that is brand new to those living in Portland, Oregon. The cast consists of 10 actors who are individually accomplished actors, singers and comedians.
Interaction is the name of the game. Not only does the dinner theater show take place all around the room, but actors will often sit down to enjoy a bite to eat during dinner with the guests. DonÂt be shy; this family is loud and proud to be Italian.
Guests are served food family style and in massive quantities for each of the 4 courses. Once served, the giant bowls of food are passed around the table, so if you didnÂt know your neighbors when you sat down you will when you leave.
The premise of the dinner theater is that Luigi Fishetti, the proprietor of an Italian restaurant, has a brother that passed away rather suddenly. Unfortunately, his sister in law had the body waked at a funeral parlor that wasnÂt Âfamily so Luigi had his right hand man Jimmy Ragazzi move the body to JohnnyÂs place. This is where the story begins.
The show runs twice a week through May on Friday and Saturday nights and is also available for private parties or corporate events. Dates are continuously added to the schedule so check back often. Visit the web site at http://www.WhoStoleMyDeadHusband.com for more details on times and dates.
Tickets are between $57-$67 dollars and a discount of $5 per person is offered for groups that reserve 6 or more seats.
