Positive Digital have been able to create a solution that delivers both to the curious, the enthusiastic, the committed and even the attendees on match day
London (PRWEB UK) 14 May 2013
Positive Digital has today announced the delivery of a completely redeveloped website for Lord’s Cricket Ground and Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).
The agency has been working with MCC to develop a solution that presents the work that MCC does for cricket around the world and also showcases the activities and history of Lord’s Cricket Ground – the Home of Cricket.
"Positive Digital and MCC have created a website that successfully brings together the Club’s diverse range of activities, in cricket, at Lord's and elsewhere. The designs are contemporary but maintain the feel of history and excellence which is at the heart of MCC. Responsive technology ensures that the site meets the needs of all users, on all devices, wherever they are." – MCC Digital Manager, Ian Treseder
Fresh Design – Easier Access to Content
The modern and contemporary design digitally represents the Lord’s and MCC brands whilst proudly conveying the Club’s traditional roots.
The development of the new site has involved the integration of third party systems and technologies. These include MCC’s ticketing system, the Lord’s Shop website, a cricket scoring system, the MCC Collections (archives) and data capture.
The new site features a clear navigation and a tile based design making it intuitive to navigate.
Representing the Global Home of Cricket
Crucially the site offers users the ability to find and use the information or services they need with ease from any device, whether it is from home, at the Ground or on the move.
Almost a quarter of people visiting the Home of Cricket online do so from outside the UK, with cricket fans from Australia, USA, India, South Africa and Canada making up a large proportion of overseas visitors.
Positive Digital Managing Director, Julian Reiter, commented:
“Working closely with MCC to understand their business and their diverse audience requirements – over 24% of traffic comes from their global audience with 21% of web traffic viewing via mobile devices – Positive Digital have been able to create a solution that delivers both to the curious, the enthusiastic, the committed and even the attendees on match day. It stands as testament to the hard work and dedication of both the teams at MCC and Positive Digital to deliver a website for Lord’s Cricket Ground, the Home of Cricket, which meets the needs of this world class institution in time for the new International season."

On Thursday (16th May) the Match Day Centre will be launched for the England v New Zealand Test Match. This feature will be available on all future Major Match days at Lord’s. Users will be able to keep up to date with all the action on the field through a live blog, alongside being able to experience exclusive video and audio content from behind the scenes (http://www.lords.org/live). The scoreboard format will keep cricket fans up-to-date wherever they are.
