"We firmly believe that insurance is meant to restore lives. We match your insurance with the peace of mind you’d want after a loss.”

Insurance that's simple, convenient, and budget-friendly. These are the very principles on which Post Insurance was founded and has delivered to the community for 30 years. One of the longest-operating insurance agencies in St. Lucie County, Post Insurance & Financial, Inc. is delighted to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

Owner/President, Kathy Post, grew up in the agency, learning the business from her father and agency founder, Bob Post. “We firmly believe,” she said, “that insurance is meant to restore lives. To do that, we don’t just sell insurance policies. We match your insurance with the peace of mind you’d want after a loss.” Post, together with her sister Rebecca Post O’Brien, proudly carry on the family legacy – and still welcome advice from their father.

While other businesses have come and gone, Post Insurance endures because they learned early to adapt to changes in the industry and the economy. Effective use of technology is one area where Post meets changing customer needs. “Shopping for insurance isn’t fun,” said Post. “So we’ve made it easy. Customers can request quotes from our website. For auto insurance, we’ll shop our companies, like Nationwide, Progressive, Safeco, Travelers, and The Hartford, at lightning speed. Most importantly, the customer really appreciates having a live, local person explain everything to them “in plain old English.” Post says it’s important to their customers that they have a local agent – not someone halfway around the world.

Reflecting on the changes they’ve seen over 30 years, Post says that the best part of her day still comes from sitting down face-to-face with a client. “I had a client whose home caught fire the day after Thanksgiving,” she said. “Helping her family and others like them get back on their feet is why we’re in this business.” That dedication is what drives them to constantly improve personal service and at press time were hinting at exciting changes underway to be revealed publicly in the coming weeks.
