"Our goal is to make our residents feel comfortable, happy and at home."
Potomac, MD (PRWEB) January 31, 2013
Potomac Seniors Village is proud to announce a new division of operations to enhance the daily well-being of its residents. This division is led by Ruby R. Mir who is excited to bring her immense experience to the assisted living center in Potomac Maryland. Ruby Mir is a daughter, sister, wife, and mother. Her passion to care for the elderly began while growing up. She was very close to her grandparents, as they had lived with her when she was young. While her nurturing and loving nature carried on through the years, she decided to pursue her passion as a career by venturing into the assisted living business.
At Potomac Seniors Village, residents come from all different age groups. Although most tend to be in the golden years of their lives, many are younger. Some residents have immediate families; while others do not. Some residents have children who are very closely involved, while others do not. Some residents suffer from many serious diseases, while others may be suffering from one major debilitating ailment. Ruby demonstrates her care by giving her attention to each individual resident at the assisted living facility in Potomac Maryland. She realizes that each resident is different as an individual, and thus requires a different degree of attention. She always treats each resident with care, respect and compassion.
There are many personal habits and individual needs that Ruby caters to. A resident wants an ice cream of a certain flavor and of a certain brand at an odd time, but never eats it. Another resident wants Ruby to immediately buy her a perfume that she had just picked out of her favorite magazine. Ruby always provides the ice cream and buys the perfume as urgent matters so that residents feel comfort and have their needs met. Residents also have access to Ruby’s cell phone number, so that they can contact her directly if something is needed.
Many of the residents are hospice patients and exhibit many types of behavior. Many of them become very emotionally attached to Ruby. In one case, a resident in his final hours would respond only to Ruby but not to his children. Another resident became violent and cursed loudly when the caregivers tried to take him to bed. He would only go with Ruby, while she held his hand and led him to his room. Ruby develops a very close relationship with each resident. Many residents enjoy Ruby’s companionship and her ability to listen when they want to vent their personal frustrations. Ruby takes care of all of them with love, with compassion, and with a lot of respect.
Ruby is the foundation of what makes Potomac Seniors Village, an assisted living facility in Potomac, Maryland the most caring, individualized, and noble assisted living center it is today. Families are content because their loved ones are receiving the genuine care that they deserve. Residents are also happy because they can always count on Ruby to meet their needs.
