Power-tool reviews took a back seat this past weekend as ToolSelect sponsored the annual men’s spring-training retreat at Grace Adventures, where the theme centered on men being winners at home.
The retreat was attended by men from Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Illinois, many of whom arrived with their churches or friends, and all of whom were excited to take part in the activities and message of building a great family and home.
“Grace is a Christian training center that hosts summer camps, year-round retreats and trainings with youths, adults and families,” says Ryan Prudhomme, director of marketing and sales with Grace Adventures. “We’re ecstatic to partner with ToolSelect, a company that’s extremely valuable to our maintenance department that serves 11,000 people a year in 50 buildings over nearly 400 acres.”
Power tools were conspicuous throughout the weekend, which is a huge incentive to any group of men. ToolSelect supplied the power tools, many of which were given away as part of the experience, while also collecting information from interested men who have since joined the ToolSelect community in search of the best tool for the right job.
Activities over the weekend included target sports, horseback riding and golf, with March Madness on the television at any given moment. The Man Feast consisting of massive steaks is always a popular meal at Grace, and the Man Games—building fences, pulling a bus by hand and other strongman pursuits—generated some healthy and fun competition.
Spirituality is an important part of Grace Adventures retreats, and the men participated in workshops, general sessions and listened to a speaker, with everything pointing toward becoming better fathers, husbands and men.
“What better way to get real power-tool reviews than to scatter tools all over a Grace Adventures retreat?” says Dean Bennett, Director of Video Production with ToolSelect. “We’re grateful to have been a part of the event and are already seeing many of the men joining our community, all in search of the best tool for whatever job they may be taking on.”
